Bad Salopettes - do not buy!
So disappointed with these salopettes…. Having just returned from skiing in Italy I was very excited to have my new ski pants ready for the slopes. They are a lovely snug fit however what I quickly realised is the complete lack of lining with these - basically they’re just like a pair of rain trousers - and very expensive ones at that. Whilst I had my usual thermals on underneath I could feel the cold in my legs as I skied and even more so when i sat down on the chair lifts!! Even in temperatures that weren’t too low I didn’t feel snug and warm like my usual ski pants…I’m so annoyed paid such a ridiculous price for a pair of water proof trousers 🤯🤯

Too thin to be salopettes
Bought for an upcoming ski trip but they’re so thin they would only be good enough for a waterproof over layer. Not lined. I haven’t worn them outside so can’t say how waterproof they are but they have the material of a soft shell jacket.

Dreadful material and fit
I bought these in a medium and large to replace my SMALL Astro bib salopette as I wanted a larger size to put thicker base layers under. They arrived and the large didn’t even go above my knees. How is that even possible?! What has happened to Sweaty Betty ski gear. The sizing used to be great for tall ladies with a little bit of a curve. Not anymore!

Downgrade from the astro salopettes
Material very lightweight, 4 closures above the zip including a tiny button, not great for cold or gloved hands. Can't comment on fit as didn't try on due to material.

Not worth the money
I recently bought this bib because I just found out that SB makes bibs that are insanely cute. I originally found last seasons set but they were sold out of my size so I went with these instead. I wish I had done my due diligence prior to buying them because these are only 5k waterproofing. Last seasons are 10k and 99% of the reviews complain that they are not waterproof enough. So, with these being half of that, it's safe to assume these will likely do nothing for you if there's even the slightest bit of moisture. I have been a skier my entire life and I would never recommend that someone wear these on the mountain. You would need a pair of fleece leggings to stay warm as these are a shell with zero lining or insulation. It actually makes me laugh a little bit that they are charging almost $400. Save yourself the time and buy snow-pants from a reputable ski/snowboard company. Also, These are extremely flared at the bottom which you can't really tell on the model online. I purchased an XS but should have gone with an XXS as they were ill-fitting in the hip region, but regardless this is a cheaply made product and I will be making a return.
