THE MODEL METHOD
The Model Method workout is a combination of dynamic Pilates, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and plyometrics. Founded by award-winning Pilates expert Hollie Grant, it has amassed a strong following from names including Jourdan Dunn and Deliciously Ella.
Fast, effective and seriously fun, many call Gymclass London’s toughest workout. Combining HIIT with strength training to work you hard, this workout designed by former Barry’s Bootcamp trainer Helle Hammonds burns a serious amount of calories in a relentless 35 minutes. Be warned!
PAOLA’s BODY BARRE
Known for sculpting London’s best bums, Paola’s BodyBarre was created to deliver a highly efficient workout that fuses many disciplines including dynamic Pilates, ballet barre conditioning, functional training and HIIT. Expect serious burn.
Drum and bass meets boxing, Fight Klub is a high intensity urban workout with a difference. Set to heavyweight underground beats, the program fuses boxing, kick boxing and thai boxing with the atmosphere of a night club. Yes there will be MC’s.
Frame is on a mission to make sure keeping fit and healthy never feels like a chore. Created by founders Pip & Joan when they were struggling to find a gym where you can have fun and workout. Their London studios are known for their feel-good, energetic and fun-filled classes with a distinctly edgy vibe.
Founded by brothers Jay and Niko, Equilibrium uses TRX equipment for a total body onslaught with technique, precision and flow. With no inch of you that won’t be worked, you’ll feel stronger, more mobile and be aching for days.
South London’s secret to finding zen, hip studio Yogarise was opened by Emma Arnold in 2007 on a mission to bring all her favourite yoga teachers to one place. You’ll find a variety of styles from vinyasa, to ashtanga and yin all designed to stretch you out.
- Do you have different classes for different levels of fitness?
Each class is suitable for all levels of fitness, though if you are concerned please do speak to the instructor before class to ensure they tailor exercises to your ability.
- Do you offer a special rate for first timers?
No sorry, we’ve negotiated the best deals with our studio partners. Occasionally, we may hold special promotions, so sign up to our emails and keep your eyes peeled.
- How do I pay?
Fresh meat? You need to register for an account or login here. Once you have created your account through our booking system, add a credit or debit card to ensure you can pay for your classes.
You can also buy credits and book classes in person at the studio at the check in desk. There are no offers for bulk class credit purchases – every class costs £15.
- Can I sign up for a membership?
We’re all about no strings attached at The Studio, so we don’t offer memberships. You can come and go as you please with our credit packages.
- Can I use my classes at any location?
For now, we only have one location! Watch this space though…
- Can I book a mat/space in class?
Every class is different and the space will be adapted to suit the workout so sadly we cannot book mats or spaces in the studio in advance.
- What is your Booking and Cancellation/Refund policy?
Class Booking, Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Our credit system is simple : £15 per credit and multiple credits can be purchased, there are no discounts for buying bulk credits.
Classes may be booked up to a week in advance and will become available to book exactly 7 days before the class (get ready to refresh), upon booking a class you will receive a confirmation email for your spot.
No credit, no class – you can only book a class if you have a credit on your account. If you arrive at a class without a booking or credit and there are free spaces, you can purchase the credit through our system at reception.
Planning to snooze your alarm or drink a few glasses of wine tonight? You’re in luck, you can cancel your class up to 12 hours before your class start time and your credit will be returned to your account. If you ‘late cancel’ within 12 hours of your class taking place, you will lose your credit and need to purchase another to work out with us again.
If a class is fully booked, you will be offered a waitlist spot and will receive email notification you are on the waitlist. Once a spot becomes available, we will email everyone on the waitlist and it will be first come first served as to who gets a spot. Any waitlist spots will be released 12 hours before the class and once they are fully booked, that’s it! Once you have booked a waitlist spot you cannot cancel without losing your credit.
Classes can be booked, cancelled or rescheduled through the online booking system or over the telephone during studio opening hours in line with the Booking, Cancellation and Refund policy.
No refunds can be made for credits that are already purchased.
Credits expire after 6 months, you will receive a warning when your credits are due to expire via email.
You must be physically present and checked in 5 minutes prior to the start of class, if you are new to the studio and the class, we recommend you arrive 10 minutes in advance so you can familiarise yourself with the space and ask the instructor any questions.
If you are later than 10 minutes it will be at the instructors discretion as to whether they are able to let you in the class.
If recovering from injury or illness, notify the instructor prior to class start time.
We know you want a selfie, so mobile phones are allowed in class provided they are switched on silent and are not disruptive.
- Can I move swap my current class booking for another class?
If you are outside the 12 hour cancellation window then no, but if you are within the 12 hours you will need to cancel the class you are signed up for and then rebook another using the credit that will have been returned to your account.
- Do you allow walk-ins?
Fancy a sweat? If our class isn’t fully booked and we have time for you to register/ purchase a credit and book you in then yes! The more the merrier. If you are already registered but don’t currently have credit on your account, you will still need to arrive in plenty of time to purchase your credit. If you are registered and have credits the process will be very quick but again, still arrive a few minutes before class so we can add you to the system.
- What is the wait list?
Lots of our classes book up fast, so to ensure you can get the chance to sweat with us we’ve created a wait list. When people cancel, we’ll notify you there is a spot available – it will then be a first come first served basis to sign up and when the spots are gone, they are gone, so act fast.
If you secure a spot more than 12 hours before the scheduled start time of the class, we will notify you by email. If a spot doesn’t open by then, you can still show up at least 5 minutes before class starts and once we have our no-show count we’ll start going through the wait list in order.
- Can I leave my kids, pets or other items in the reception?
We love that you want to bring your crew along but due to limited space we cannot have anything left in the reception area and all items and valuables must be left in one of our free lockers.
- What sort of amenities are in studio?
Loads! We have 38 lockers so you should hopefully never come to class and find there isn’t a locker for you! We’ve also got water coolers on hand to keep you hydrated.
Basically we don’t ever want you to leave. So get ready to get pampered. We have four fabulous showers, including one unisex shower in case any males are spotted in the area.
Even better, our showers are stocked with our favourite organic British brand Bamford, fluffy towels and wet kit bags.
Fancy a snack post-class? Head up to the first floor to Farm Girl café for smoothies, healthy snacks and breakfast bowls.
- What are the studio opening times?
The studio opening times vary so please check here for full details. However, if you are taking an evening class that finishes at 8pm you will have 30 mins to shower and get ready as the doors must finally close at 8.30pm – you don’t want an all night lock in!
- Can I work out at if I have an injury?
Ultimately that’s your choice. First, speak with your doctor about what you should and shouldn’t do. If the doctor clears you, mention your injury to the class instructor when you arrive and they can help you modify the workout.
- Is my data secure and private?
Yes, we don’t sell your info and all our systems are encrypted and secure. We will share your information with our studio partners who may contact you from time to time.
- What if I am trying to book and having problems with the system?
If it is during our studio hours (6.30am – 8pm Monday Friday, 9 – 3pm Saturday and 9 – 6pm Sunday) then you can call a member of the studio team on 020 7434 1007 who will be able to help with your booking.
If it is out of studio hours, you can call Customer Care team on 020 7751 0591 who will take down your details and ask the studio team to call you back as soon as possible during studio opening hours.
- What is your payment system?
Our payment systems are industry standard 128-bit encryption and your account information is held in a secure environment which is as hacker proof as it can possibly be.
- Do you have an app?
