Better than expected
When I received this bag I have to admit I had low hopes. At first it looked flimsy and not able to hold up.I've used it now a few times on day hikes of the Blue Ridge and have been pleased. It is able to hold a heavy bottle of water, snacks and poncho without issue. Wearing it feels lightweight. Better than expected.

Disappointing
I was so looking forward to receiving this bag. The colourway is amazing! What I didn’t like was although it is supposed to be a lightweight bag which would be great for day to day use, it has straps on the waist and the chest which would be more akin to hiking all day, these were so flimsy they were pointless and it didn’t sit right across my chest. Great idea and if they release this with normal straps I would be tempted to re buy. Lastly chest the bag carefully before you use as mine has a hole in it near the bottom. Sorry SB but this is being returned.

Glad it has front strap but does it have the essential security pocket on the outside but facing wearer's back? I'm a fan of backpacks and use them all the time but few have all the details which make them really useful - even the expensive ones!

The Packaway Hiking Backpack unfortunately doesn't have a pocket on the outside of the backpack that faces the wearer's back, however, there is a security pocket on the inside of the bag. We would highly recommend the Icon Active Backpack if you were specifically after a backpack with a pocket on the outside that faces the wearer's back.
