So disappointed. Strange underarm fit
As another reviewer said, the top is a very odd fit. The underarm section feels like it’s pulling towards the back. I thought I had it on back to front. I took it back to the store and tried another one on in store to check it wasn’t just a fault with the one I had ordered. But no, the in store one was the same. So odd. I’ve never had this problem with any sweaty Betty tops.

Looks great but uncomfortable
The top feels twisted, like your wearing it back to front. It’s tight under the armpits and makes it uncomfortable

Perfect layer
I love wearing this top and don't even have any ski holidays booked! The merino fabric is great, its as nice weight as not too thick but still really good at keeping the warmth in. I didn't find the fabric itchy at all having seen the other reviews but I don't usually have issues with wool.

Love the pattern and colour.
Almost love the material which is softer and less itchy to other merino wool jumpers.
Don’t love the cut. Specially under arm and neck line! Both are so tight and digs into your skin. Thank god I’ve brought size L considering I wear everything SB size M and UK10-12. Even though sleeves came up too long and some parts are loose due to adorable festive pattern I decided to keep it. Oh and I did get on offer and that helps! If anyone interested I’d recommend go size up unless you have extremely thin neck and arms!

Itchy!!
I bought the top and leggings. Wore the top and it brought me out in a rash. I have other merino tops which I can wear without making me itch, so am very disappointed as this one was the most expensive of all of them.

Slightly itchy, both loose and constrictive
I love fair isle patterns, and living in Alberta, I wear base layers/merino at least 7 months of the year, so when I saw the new merino base layers, I immediately grabbed a set in the navy blue. The colours are great and the pattern pops delightfully. As always, you have to be careful to not snag your nails or jewelry on the inside knit (standard practice with Sweaty Betty base layers). The merino is a decent weight, and fairly soft, not at all see through. Not quite as soft as some of the other washable merino I own, but close.
The bottoms fit perfectly; I love that they’ve gone to a higher rise than previous year’s base layers.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have as much luck with the top. Size-wise, it fit, in that the length was good, and the sleeves were long enough. However, it was loose in the arms (an issue I often have with Sweaty Betty tops), yet at the same time, because of the fair isle pattern and seamless construction, I found it restricting when I raised my arms. I also found it very snug at the neck, and due to it feeling tight around my neck, it was itchy and irritating. I would have preferred a slightly lower crew neck or a looser cowl, instead of the not-quite-mock neck.
Since the top didn’t fit, I’m returning both pieces.
For reference, I’m 5’9.5”, 36B, US8, lean, and I got a medium in both the top and bottom.

Amazing base layer for ski and Hiking

Too excited for a ski trip!
This festive jumper has got me too excited for all things Winter! I sized up so the fairisle pattern isn't too tight over my bust as is the way with these types of knits.
