Based at our Fulham Support Office, with the possibility of working on projects in USA.
Sweaty Betty is looking for a Store Designer. The design of our shops define the Sweaty Betty lifestyle and are relevant and sympathetic to local communities. This position will be responsible for delivering creative fit outs for new store openings in the UK with the possibility of work in the USA, as well as looking after UK re-fits and ad hoc store design projects.
From yoga clothes to running kit, ski to beach, gym wear to tennis apparel, Sweaty Betty is the fitness clothing brand of choice, synonymous with innovative, feminine designs for enhanced performance. With over 40 UK boutiques, including concessions in world famous department stores Harrods and Selfridges, UK, USA, Australian and EU website as two US stores.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing you will be responsible for the Store Design process from site survey to the grand opening for new stores. Specific responsibilities will include:
Project management of store design process to include build, budget and sourcing furniture Survey buildings & design floor layout with an awareness of H&S requirements Put together initial mood boards Develop design plans and elevations
Timely creation of all drawing packs Liaise between colleagues and external contractors to ensure clarity of communication and consistency of interpretation Understand the particular requirements of a Sweaty Betty store to present the product beautifully with clear navigation and operational efficiency Work closely with people across the business especially - the Creative Director and CEO on design, the Retail Director on store layout, the
Operations Team on project management, the VM Manager on dressing the store, the Head of Product on merchandising priorities, the Contractor on the build Management of Design budget
WHAT YOU'LL HAVE 3 years in store design experience either agency or in-house Relevant technical qualifications as a designer or architect Experience in Retail Project Management including new store openings Strong knowledge of retail design methods

You are an excellent project manager with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and in budget. Your creative sensibilities and taste levels are aligned with the Sweaty Betty lifestyle and your reference points are premium studios and spas internationally as well as contemporary trends in architecture both domestic and commercial. You relish the opportunity to spend time in stores, talking to staff and customers to work out how we can improve our Customer experience. You are creative, dynamic and enthusiastic.
