Sweaty Betty blog: The Sb Great British Run
Empowering Women Through Fitness
We did it!! In January we set out on the challenge to run a relay around our all Sweaty Betty boutiques in Britain – or at least we challenged our Sweaty Betty run clubs to run the amount of miles (nearly 1000!) in-between our boutiques nationwide.
From 7th – 13th February we’ve been tallying up all the miles ran by our boutique’s running clubs and those not living close to our stores (logging their miles online), and we are excited to announce that we smashed our shared goal of 1000 miles and hit an impressive 2883.64 miles! Well done to everyone who participated in The SB Great British Run.
Extra incentive was provided during the challenge as each boutique participant plus online winners would be awarded a £50 SB voucher!
The winners are:1. Sweaty Betty club that ran the most miles: Bristol with an astounding 441 miles
2. Pui-tien Man and Sarah Mines are the winners of our Logmymiles competition, running the furthest of all our online entries!
Thank you so much to everyone attending our Run running club in Fulham this Wednesday, participating in ‘The SB British Run’! I hope we will smash our target of 1000 miles. It was absolutely amazing to see so many happy and energetic ladies running together and enjoying themselves! Big thanks to Brooke Miller; our super fantastic coach!

The first night of The SB British Run 2011 was a great success, with all participants pushing themselves to go that extra bit further.
“Last night we had our run event and it was a better turn out than we thought, our ladies braved the nasty weather! All together we had 17 runners - 16 ladies and 1 dog! It was a great run”
Kristina/Wilmslow boutique manager
Altogether 187 miles down and 813 to go!
Tonight is the first night of The SB British Run 2011 and we have 3 running clubs raring to go! Good luck to all those participating in the SB British Run this week. It is very exciting imagining all of our ‘get fit 4 free’ run clubs running throughout the week for our communal cause.
Can we manage to run a relay around the SB boutiques of Britain? Check the barometer each day this week to see our progress. It currently looks sad at 0... but you can be sure this will not be the case for long....
