September is Get Fit 4 Free month and it’s time to announce that we’ll be getting our rave on with the Frame Rave, launching in boutiques and online September 5.
Beyond Blastoff has all the essential ingredients of a Sweaty Betty collection – a determined design team pushing the boundaries of fitness and fashion, months of behind-the-scenes planning and energetic shoots in Champoluc and East London. The hard work has certainly paid off: the newest collection is our most directional and advanced to date, and I couldn’t be more pleased to announce the launch of the autumn season.
Following months of planning, hundreds of hangers, colourful collections and multiple cups of coffee, we have finally launched our new concept concession in the Denim Destination at Selfridges’ Flagship London store.
As part of our collaboration with the English National Ballet, Sweaty Betty got a chance to catch up with Artistic Director Tamara Rojo. We asked questions and she answered. Here's what we learned.
Tell us about your background with dancing from how you began to where you are today.
When I was 19 years old, I won the gold medal at the Paris International Dance competition, which was judged by some of the most important figures in the dance world. Despite having performed in many competitions, this was the first time that I was recognised as an up-and-coming talent. Two years later I was offered my first contract as a principal dancer with Scottish Ballet.
