WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING


Reporting in to the Senior Merchandiser, and working closely with Buying, Marketing, Retail & Direct, you will be responsible for planning & trading specific ranges for web and stores, in order to achieve a profitable and balanced range. You will be responsible for developing effective range plans, managing performance in season, the supply chain and overseeing allocations.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Plan
Responsible for managing OTB and planning the buy on selected ranges, alongside the Buyer, to deliver business targets on LFL sales and profit
Work closely with the Buyer during the pre-season planning process to ensure relevant analysis and commercial ideas are fed in to new season planning
Complete mid and end of season analysis to present during planning meetings.
Manage the delivery schedule and work closely with the Buyer and suppliers to maintain the critical path for all ranges so that product is delivered on time, in accordance with launch dates.
Keep Continuity line cards up to date & provide rolling 6 month fabric forecasts on key styles.


Allocate
Oversee initial allocation quantities for all channels, for specific ranges
Manage stock levels in all channels for specific ranges, to ensure optimum availability of stock
Manage weekly replenishment of stock with carefully considered parameters, building stocks as appropriate during the year
Oversee opening stock package and initial allocation for new store openings


Trade

Monitor stock levels to ensure optimum availability of stock across all sizes and channels, whilst keeping stock levels in line with target
Identify key OTB opportunities
Analyse sales data, identify issues and trends, and provide recommendations
Manage intake of stock into business, phasing back and forward as appropriate
Manage continuity products for designated ranges, ensuring always in stock with optimum stock levels at both size and channel
Produce accurate weekly reports for weekly trading meetings and deputise for Senior Merchandiser when needed


Lead

Lead and direct an Allocator to successfully allocate your product area    
Produce accurate weekly reports for weekly trading meetings
 

WHAT YOU'LL HAVE
4 years experience in a head office Merchandising role
Experience of managing a designated product area (essential)
Experience of range planning, forecasting and managing OTB (essential)
Experience of maintaining a WSSI (essential)
Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Experience of working in a multi-channel environment is preferable
