Born in 1998 in London’s Notting Hill, Sweaty Betty now has 38 boutiques including concessions in world-famous department stores Harrods and Selfridges, plus two boutiques in the USA. With a new mobile website, more international stores in the pipeline and a passionate, fitness-loving team at its helm, Sweaty Betty is growing exponentially. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Planning

•Work alongside the Buyer to implement the strategy for selected Sweaty Betty own brand clothing ranges to meet the business targets.
•Work closely with design and garment tech teams to develop 4 collections yearly consisting of high performance, inspirational, innovative and premium products.
•Work alongside merchandising to analyze/report business performance at pre-trade reviews and weekly trade meetings.
•Maintain a constant and thorough understanding of our customer and market through store visits, customer/store manager/ambassador feedback and market research.

 Buying & Product Development

•Work closely with the Buyer to deliver world class product to the highest spec at the right price and on time, and actively participate in achieving target margins.
•Manage the development process on selected ranges from design stage, through order placement and production to delivery.
•Maximise profitability and continually find ways to drive margin opportunity. Independently carry out cross costing and price negotiation on selected ranges to achieve target margins.
•Manage the Critical Path for selected clothing ranges and conduct weekly CP meetings with Design, Tech and Merchandising, highlighting potential risk areas and work with other teams to find solutions and hit delivery deadlines
•Take part in weekly fit sessions with the Garment Tech team to ensure all Sweaty Betty’s products are fully functional for the intended end use and the perfect fit.
•Responsible for managing photo and marketing sample process to ensure samples for agreed ranges achieve deadlines, look great and reflect what production will be like.
•Visit factories abroad, building relationships with suppliers, source new innovative fabrics & trims, and conducting second fit sessions with the pattern makers.

Other

•Report key weekly highlights in trade meeting and deputize for Buyer at trade meetings.
•Identify key product information in order to inspire the stores and the customer, and create first draft of bullets in conjunction with designers for handover to marketing department and upload to internal IT system.
•Responsible for ensuring that all copy and images are correct and ready for ecommerce in due time.
•Undertake internal presentations on subjects related to own ranges to the rest of the business and suppliers as and when needed
•Undertake half yearly collection launch presentations to store managers.
•Manage each season launch day with head office and store managers. This involves managing BAAs to organize samples for presentations and compiling seasonal range packs containing all information of products for the upcoming season.
•Support the Buyer on new initiatives to continuously improve the offer on workout, run and ski products Take on any other projects and duties as required by manager
