Our Values: We bring out the best in each other. We push boundaries. We have a positive attitude. We love what we do.

As Head of Finance you will be leading an already strong Finance Team as the business expands internationally.  You will not only be responsible for ensuring that all management reporting is produced on a timely basis but, crucially, you will be expected to add value to the raw numbers with great commercial insight gained through having built relationships across the business.  Sitting on the Operating Board and reporting to the Finance and Operations Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that the Management Accounts and business KPIs are produced on timetable each month.
  • Ensuring that weekly reporting is produced on Monday mornings.
  • Holding the Senior Management Team to account for their department performance.
  • Working with the Senior Management Team to enhance their understanding of the key data and so drive commercial opportunities for the business.
  • Leading the on-going development of all business reporting.
  • Running the budget process.
  • Leading the team through the audit process.
  • Managing cash and FX, always being one step ahead and seeing what might be around the corner.
  • Developing and monitoring the Company’s controls environment.
  • Ensuring that the Company is compliant on all tax and statutory matters.
  • Managing a team of 5 including the payroll function (the team is expected to grow significantly over the next few years).

  • At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a Retail (ideally) or Consumer Goods environment.
  • A non-negotiable attitude to delivering information on time.
  • The ability to provide sharp analysis and insight behind the numbers.
  • Great Communication skills and a real “people person”.
  • Confidence and the ability to challenge Directors and Senior Management.
  • International and fashion/brand experience would be beneficial but not essential.

  • You are not a typical Accountant!
  • You have a rigorous approach to producing tightly reconciled reporting on timetable but see that as just the start and get most excited about ensuring that others get the information they need and help them understand and drive commercial benefit from it.
  • You hate standing still and thrive in a fast growing environment with new challenges every day.
  • You love to be active and embrace everything that the brand stands for.
  • You want your next career move to be into a Finance Director role.

Generous clothing allowance, 50% off SB all Sweaty Betty merchandise, lots of office workout classes, free on-site gym, sample sales, cycle to work scheme, company bonus scheme, flexi hours…and lots more!
