Describe the moment you knew you wanted to be a trainer...

What's your secret to staying fit and healthy?

What one achievement would you identify as your Personal Best?

The sweat connection...

Maria brings such energy and motivation to her teaching that you almost forget how tough the workout is! She's a wonderful ambassador for both barrecore and Sweaty Betty.

The moment I wanted to become a barrecore trainer was after my first class - even though I was physically shaking from the effort! I was hooked. That was three years ago, and it still gives me the same buzz today.

Becoming an ambassador for my favourite brand has absolutely been my personal best. It has been so rewarding teaching for Sweaty Betty and seeing what they do for the commuity of women's fitness. I particularly loved teaching at the top of the Shard in London.

My secret to staying fit and healthy is to combine classes from hardcore cardio to workouts in the park to strength training such as barre and weights. This means my body and mind never plateau, and I remain constantly challenged. Work hard, play hard and treat yourself to the odd indulgence.

Describe the moment you knew you wanted to be a trainer...

My first job was working for the International Olympic Committee in Switzerland. It was an amazing time in my life, but my fitness routine was struggling to keep up. I decided to join a Pilates class and the results were amazing. That's when I decided to train as a Pilates Instructor so I could help others look and feel their best.

What's your secret to staying fit and healthy?

My secret is simple: make it fun. The trick is to find a workout that you enjoy and to do it often. If you're finding it hard to stay motivated, then challenge a friend to join you. Healthy competition is always helpful!

What one achievement would you identify as your Personal Best?

My favourite achievement most recently would be practising pregnancy-safe Pilates throughout my pregnancy. I felt healthy, strong and energised and I would encourage all mums-to-be to do it.

The sweat connection...

Sweaty Betty loves Camilla's unique take on Pilates. It is great to have such a targeted, results-driven workout.
