The sweat connection...

Nikki embodies a healthy, active lifestlye and brings a calm energy to everything she does. It was evident upon first meeting Nikki that she would be the perfect addition to Sweaty Betty's inspirational ambassador team.

Growing up in Australia living on the coast I have always enjoyed an active and healthy lifestyle. When I learned that many others struggle to enjoy exercise, that's when I hoped to share my joy in being active with others. There is nothing more rewarding that seeing my clients achieve positive results.

Quitting my 9-5 to earn a living doing what I love has been my number one success. Starting my own business and growing my own brand has been a labour of love, but the ability to help students transform their own day and their lifestyle makes my job one of the best in the world.

There are a few rules I follow. 1. Water; It's vital to keep hydrated at all times. 2. Breakfast; Start your day as you mean to go on. 3. I never step on the scales because the scales can't measure beauty or self-worth.

Describe the moment you knew you wanted to be a trainer...

I first got into fitness as a national athlete in Poland, competing in the hurdles event. I also studied physiotherapy for for years so I was always interested in the body. When I moved to London I took up STOTT Pilates training, and that's when I realised how much I loved the fitness industry.

What's your secret to staying fit and healthy?

Diet-wise, I drink lots of water with freshly squeezed lemon juice to keep my body alkaline and I also make a daily green juice. As far as exercise goes, I do lots of sprinting as well as Pilates and hot yoga to stay in shape. If I don't have much time to train, I try to do a 30min HIIT session or use the skipping rope.

What one achievement would you identify as your Personal Best?

Winning my first medal at the Polish Junior National Championships was a special moment for me. I won the Bronze in the 300m hurdles with a time of 44.48s. That marked the beginning of my love affair with athletics.
