Describe the moment you knew you wanted to be a trainer...

What's your secret to staying fit and healthy?

What one achievement would you identify as your Personal Best?

The sweat connection...

Nicole is a true ambassador of female strength and fitness. She is an incredibly positive role model for women and actively demonstrates the value of perseverance, variety and balance.

I knew I wanted to be am instructor when I used to wake up excited at 5:30am daily ready to make my early morning fitness classes at David Lloyd.

My biggest achievement to date is breaking the British record in powerlifting for my 1 rep max squat in October 2013! I have broken my own record 3 times since, but nothing beats the feeling of setting that first record.

My secret is to enjoy exercise and healthy eating, and never to see it as a chore! It also helps to surround yourself with like-minded people. I have a great training partner and we always keep each other motivated.

Describe the moment you knew you wanted to be a trainer...

I realised I wanted to become a teacher back in 1996, when I was a rehearsal director for a contemporary dance company. During this time I observed the dancers and their struggles with injuries, and I was hungry to learn how to teach them to move in a way that supported their wellbeing. This passion led me to train in the Pilates Method and Sports Massage Therapy, and later on in yoga.

What's your secret to staying fit and healthy?

I believe strongly in two simple requirements for a happy and healthy life. One is to find balance in everything we do and the other is to have positive thoughts about our bodies and what we are doing with them.

What one achievement would you identify as your Personal Best?

My personal best is turning 45 and feeling fitter and healthier today than I was as a 20 year old professional dancer. I must be doing something right!

The sweat connection...

Stephanie's teaching is warm, encouraging and inspirational. She can't help but inspire women to be the best, healthiest version of themselves.
