Amy’s fitness journey began during her career as a professional ballet dancer. She performed with the Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York City and the Northern Ballet Theatre in Leeds. She began adding yoga and Pilates to her training regime to increase strength and flexibility, and started cross training to maintain stamina and endurance for injury prevention.
Following years of cross training and exploring yoga and Pilates to further her dancing, she fell in love with group exercise and trained in Fitness Instruction, Exercise to Music, Pilates and Group Cycle between Virgin Active Kensington and Heartcore Fitness.
In the local community she teaches 27 classes a week. An avid wearer of Sweaty Betty kit, her favourite is the dance statement collection, especially a clever combination of cropped dance tees and sleek fitted leggings.

My childhood love to dance gradually transformed into a career as I grew older. Throughout my training, I practiced Pilates and barre techniques to increase my strength and stamina. They inspired in me a deep love in the world of fitness. After qualifying as a Zumba teacher, I studied to be a Tracy Anderson trainer. After training under the woman herself, I taught classes across London, New York and LA.
I am now training to become a qualified Stott Pilates instructor and teaching Barre, Sculpt, Pilates and Conditioning classes at Equinox. All my fitness endeavours have inspired me to develop the Louisa Drake Method (LDM), which reflects my signature teaching style. LDM combines fitness, nutrition and overall wellbeing. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients' sweaty, happy, glowing, post-class faces. Having a following of regular clients means I can guide them through more and more challenging moves and see incredible development.
