My introduction to exercise came in 1986 and I decided to qualify as a fitness instructor in 1989. I began teaching fitness in gyms and then started personal training visiting clients in their own homes, specialising in ante and post natal fitness. In 2005 I qualified to teach clinical Pilates (training with an osteopath) to help people with general strength, flexibility and mobility, improving postures, rehabilitation programmes and enhancing sports performance. We set up our first studio, Studio 17, in 2006 on Turnham Green Terrace, Chiswick. We expanded our business by opening a second studio at the Hogarth Health Club in 2012 and later that year the third studio opened at the Park Club in Acton.

My fitness journey began aged 6 when I attended my first figure skating lesson. My teen years were taken up by competitive skating, which led to such a passion for dance that I quickly began travelling nationally and internationally to perform. Not long after, my dancing brought me to London, where I immersed myself in holistic therapies, sports science and yoga. I trained as a yoga teacher and co-founded Lumi Power Yoga with my husband soon after, where we began holding workshops and retreats as well as 30+ yoga classes per week. By combining my passion and training in yoga with my qualifications as a yoga life coach and massage therapist, I am able to help inspire and support clients on a journey to authentic power and well-being.

Power Song: Michael Franti & Spearhead - Say Hey ( I Love You)
Personal Best: To have achieved my vision and be living my dream by setting up and building a yoga community
      Favourite Yoga Pose: Tripod headstand
Next Big Challenge: To facilitate Lumi Power Yoga Teacher Training, in particular to support new teachers to find their authentic power and expression
