      From ballet to running to cycling to swimming, I’ve always had a passion or health and wellbeing. I had danced with Bolshoi Ballet and the Royal Ballet by the time I was 15, but injury unfortunately prevented me from furthering my career as a ballerina. Instead I started a small business teaching children and their mothers to dance, which has grown exponentially over the last 10 years. I also teach many other forms of cardio-based workouts, and also work closely with Cancer Research UK to device their official warm-up routines for Race for Life. As well as being an ambassador for Sweaty Betty, I’m an ambassador for the Cambridge Half Marathon and the City of Cambridge Triathlon, training teams in the lead up to both events.

      My favourite class to teach is my own Core Fit class, which is a high-intensity programme I’ve devised over the years. It’s a full-body workout with just 10 people working to their absolute maximum potential. I’m constantly inspired by the way my clients change their lives and become empowered by sport.

      I have been practising yoga since around 1998 and was instantly hooked. I used to do ballet but was forced to give it up due to a knee condition. Yoga helped re-connect me to that feeling of being alive through the movement of the body. The practice of yoga is there to support you, provide a soft landing to fall and guide you to an appropriate path.

      I teach vinyasa flow yoga with an emphasis on careful alignment and a slightly slower pace. I also teach pregnancy yoga, active birth workshops and mother and baby yoga. I create a safe nurturing environment for women to continue their exploration of yoga during the amazing transformative time that pregnancy brings.
