After rekindling my childhood love for running during my twenties, I soon became a gym and circuit training addict. Feeling fitter, healthier and happier, my passion for fitness grew, until a knee and back injury began to inhibit my training. Seeking relief from the pain, I attended a one-off Ashtanga Yoga class, and was instantly hooked. The energy, power and serenity was incredible, and the instructor’s adapted postures quickly eased my discomfort.

I began practicing more and more; eventually deciding to complete my yoga teacher training, before continuing my studies in Mysore, India; the spiritual home of Ashtanga. Finally, my yogic journey led me to open Yoga Revolution in Bristol, where I still teach today, guiding others through the empowering experience of Ashtanga using the traditional Mysore technique of self-practice.

Power Song: The Ashtanga opening chant
      Personal Best: Pre-Ashtanga
      Favourite Yoga Pose: Kapotasana
Next Big Challenge: Raising money for the Operation Shanti charity, an orphanage in India
