Where We're Training This Week: Transition Zone

Ever wondered where you can find the Sweaty Betty team at 7:30am on a Tuesday morning? This week, the answer was Transition Zone - the newly opened studio in Parsons Green, where founder, Sweaty Betty Ambassador and all-round fitness inspiration Claire Finlay took us through 30 minutes of intense, body-sculpting TRX moves. 


 
Using suspension straps and your own body weight, Claire's TRX class is a full-body workout that includes lunges, side planks, jump squats and press-ups, moving the straps from around the ankles and into the hands, and back again. Due to the nature of the TRX, every move requires you to brace the core; working the abs from beginning to end and challenging your sense of balance. Needless to say, the team were grateful for Claire's constant encouragement - and the air conditioning!

Post-class, the team couldn't resist a refuel stop at the Recovery Zone Cafe. The SB favourites were the Recovery Aid juice (berries, lemon, carrot, apple and ginger) and the Green Smoothie - spinach, cucumber, apple and celery with hemp protein powder. Also on offer are pots of raw granola and (delicious-looking) raw macaroons, protein balls and fresh fruit, as well as matcha tea, coconut water and other healthy juices and smoothies, courtesy of Rhitrition.

All in all, this early morning class was the perfect (sweaty) start to the day!


What To Wear
