Tummy Troubles

posted on Friday, 25th March 2011 | find under Fitness
HELLO to you all on this sunny morning. Doesn't Spring feel great?

Thank you to those of you who have been in touch about my super foods blogs, it seems it's a popular topic.  Don't worry - I plan on writing more about it.  As a foodie, it's one of my favourite things to write about, especially since so many people think eating healthily is boring.  Well if I could invite everyone of you around to my house to dispell that myth I would!

I'm doing my best to keep up the regularity of my blogs but please bear with me since I have to do in in baby nap times (along with everything else) and as I write, I hear the gently tones of Isaac waking up!

One of the key areas some of you want to know more about seems to be IBS.  A few years ago I attended a brilliant lecture at the Fitpro fitness convention all about nutrition for a healthy gut.  As someone who has suffered on and off from tummy troubles, something I am sure was caused by teenage years of not understanding proper nutrition and therefore surviving on diet coke until lunchtime, the information I got out of the lecture was both enlightening and simple to put into practice.

So I'm going to go back to my lecture notes and will do my best to get an up to date plan for you (Isaac's nap times permitting).  In the mean time, can I suggest a dinner that always settles my tummy and makes me feel great the next day, call it my superfood dinner: griddled salmon, steamed broccoli and spinach with olive oil and sweet potato (mash or wedges).

I'll get back to you - keep the great comments coming in x
