Sweaty Betty wins Best Activewear Design Team 2013

posted on Thursday, 31st October 2013 | find under How we live, Out and about
Fifteen years ago I had a dream of creating beautiful clothes for active women. We have come a long way since our first store in Notting Hill and our promise to ‘inspire women to find empowerment through fitness’. Joined by my husband and an incredible team of designers, Sweaty Betty clothing has evolved into a collection that is worn by athletes and loved by customers all over the world.

Last night we had the honour of being recognised as the ‘Best Activewear Design Team 2013’ by WGSN. The WGSN Global Fashion Awards were held in the Victoria and Albert Museum and in the room with us were winners Net-a-Porter, Topshop, Acne and Nicholas Kirkwood. We were presented with the award by the Olympian gymnast Louis Smith.

To say that I am thrilled with this award is the understatement of the year. I am immensely proud of what Sweaty Betty has achieved and to be recognised alongside the world’s fashion elite, which was once a dream, has now become an amazing reality.

I particularly want to thank you for being a customer and such an important part of the Sweaty Betty story. Seeing such stylish, active women wearing our clothes is a wonderful confirmation that our designs, fabrics and styles are indeed the best in the world.

We couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you so much.
