Sweaty Betty Roadshow have arrived in Harrogate!
Sweaty Betty are back on the road again, this time we are cruising through North Yorkshire. For the next two weeks the Roadshow Team will be wowing Harrogate, testing the best trainers and instructors in the local community, and holding shopping events for you to view our Autumn Winter 2011 collection. Catch the latest updates on Facebook for a full showdown of the action.
What better to kick-start the show than a full day of yoga at the The Academy Health centre where Independent instructors use The Gallery studio space for group classes. First insight was into Sophie's post-pregnancy yoga class. For all those Harrogate mums out there, this was a sheer delight to experience. Sophie's class creates a balance and a nurturing connection between mummy and baby. A fun, release of tension for mum and complete enjoyment for baby! We soon picked up our Yogic pace with Amanda Latchmore's Ashtanga Class. We could instantly feel a wonderful, warm and relaxing energy to the atmosphere. Amanda's expertise and composure, allowed us to channel our discipline within each individual pose. A totally restorative practice.
First meeting of the day was at Weetons! Coffee and chat with Andy from Sweat Personal training. Hmmmmm...Sense any similarities there? 'SWEAT' being the operative word of the day...Andy certainly puts you through your paces. He is there by your side from start to finish, guiding you through each end every step, and yes he even does those sprints and high knees with you all the way! We warmed-up with a run around the picturesque surroundings of Harrogate Stray, followed by some interval cardio and conditioning exercises. Friendly and personal, yet very professional approach to the session. The time had really flown by, how did he do it?
With the Roadshow in full motion, in beautiful town of Harrogate, we head back to the hotel via West Park street and past Betty's Tea Rooms. That's a definite date for the Roadshow diary, how quintessentially English, tea and cake anyone? Well, with a sweaty session like today, I am sure we can make an exception!
