Sports Luxe as styled by London fashion bloggers

posted on Thursday, 4th September 2014 | find under
Brand new to Sweaty Betty this week is an exciting new collection: Sports Luxe, the most fashion-focused line yet, with beautiful fabrics in contemporary shapes to take you from the street to the studio.

Inspired by 'hidden treasures in an urban landscape', the theme that touches SB's Autumn-Winter collection 2014, Sports Luxe features fashion-forward silhouettes with a sporty edge. Layer the pieces together for an edgy, on-trend look this season, with premium fabrics and luxury knits taking you into Autumn in style.

Designed to slot into your active or fashion wardrobe, Sports Luxe pieces are perfect to slip into after work as you head to the gym or to team up with heels for a night out.

Gearing up for next week's London Fashion Week, four London fashion bloggers had a sneak peek at the collection, picking pieces that caught their eye and layering them up into their signature style. See photos from the shoot below to see how they worked the Sports Luxe look.

Camilla - camilacarril.com

"The sportswear trend is one of my favourites and Sweaty Betty has managed to pull it off gracefully in their latest collection. It is an effortlessly elegant look from the studio to the streets. Be creative and play around with this trend - sneakers for the gym and heels in the bag in case you feel like having some cocktails after work..."

Look 1: In her first look, Camilla selected the Wknd Luxe Sweatshirt, teaming it with Kick Back Luxe Track Pants plus a pair of heels to complete her statement style.

Look 2: Camilla paired the bold floral Dedicate Luxe Vest with Kick Back Luxe Trackpants for an edgy, urban look.

Look 3: Camilla selected the soft granite-grey marl Escape Luxe Jumper for her final look.

"The combination of textures and luxe fabrics make this transitional collection wearable in the gym, on the go, or out on the town. I especially love the striped trousers - they're very retro and I could easily pair them with my favourite Adidas Superstars or YSL pumps!"

Look 1: Lauren styled up the Kick Back Luxe Track Pants with her own leather biker jacket and slogan T-shirt.

Look 2: Lauren picked out the Escape Luxe Jumper crafted in Italian fleece fabric for her second look.

Emma - emmalouiselayla.com

"Sweaty Betty is one of the best brands out there for combining fashion and function, using technical fabrics, tried and tested cuts and fits specific to different sports whilst also nodding to current trends, using stylish colours and bold prints. I love layering their monochrome and grey pieces with neon pops of colour. When your gym kit looks this good there's no excuse!"

Emma loved the floral print in the Garden Luxe Trousers, teaming them with the Yama Knit Jumper and simple heels for a fashion-forward look.

Kirsty - fashionforlunch

"Sports-inspired fashion is huge, but Sweaty Betty does it best as it's a sports brand. It's a really cool and fashion-forward collection, almost Marcus Lupfer in style and very techy like Lou Dalton. It looks edgy but not super flattering and it’s nice to wear boxy pieces next to tighter separates. I like the mix of the two shades of grey on the sweatshirt and that the metal Sweaty Betty label is displayed on it too."

The Wknd Luxe Sweatshirt was a favourite for Kirsty, which she accentuated with pearls and a metallic tote to complete her style.
