not just peanut butter

What does PB mean to you? Maybe it means peanut butter- which to be honest is not a bad thing but to me it means personal best. Personal best is everything to me. I started doing sport at a young age and luckily i learnt early on that the only person you had to beat was yourself. I have always strived to be the best version of myself in sport, and if that meant winning gold then it was simply an added bonus. PB is the only honest measure of success. You shouldnt base your training or goals on those around you. I have, for the first time in my life, entered 4 races with other people. I adore all of the people that i am running with and am happy to race side by side with them. What excites me is that we are doing just that- entering as a team and laying down expectations for ourselves. I hope to cross the finish line hand in hand with Emma in february, with Alex in April and with Lisa in October. Im going to enjoy this because i am pretty certain that next season we will all be going for our own PBs.
