Introducing the Beautiful Bendy Bath Betties....
The Bath Yoga club, which is held in store, was back for a new season on Tuesday evening. We had a great session and everyone said how much they missed their Yoga after 4 weeks off. We started the class with some relaxation, warms ups and some stretches to release tension.
We then went on to some classic Yoga postures such as the Triangle.
As I mentioned in my last blog, I love adding equipment into classes so this week we used stretch bands. You can do some classic yoga poses, such as head of the cow pose with forward bend, and use the stretch band to join the hands up for added comfort.
If you tend to overuse one side of the body more than the other in standing forward bends, a great tip is to put a stretch band under your feet and hold on to it on both sides. As you move forward the stretch band will slacken and you will be able to feel if you are using both sides correctly.
