Meet your new wardrobe heroes. Sweaty Betty’s Founder and Creative Director, Tamara Hill-Norton has highlighted her favourite new season pieces and tells you how and why she wears them, including the Baseline Tennis Sweat.

I love the new tennis collection this season, it is our most fashion-forward to date and looks as good off court as on.
Why I Love it

Sweatshirts and hoodies are firmly back on the fashion radar since Demna Gvasalia introduced them onto the Vetements catwalk. This is always good news to me as a staple sweatshirt is a key item in my wardrobe. My current favourite cover up is the Baseline Tennis Sweat. Oversized, super soft and with a cool retro feel, this throw on sweater is an upgrade on your classic grey sweat.

Cut for a relaxed fit, the contrasting white panels and zips on the hem add a high-fashion edge. In true Sweaty Betty style this is as technical as it is fashion-forward, the loopback cotton fabric not only feels soft on skin but performs well as you sweat. This is more than just your average sweatshirt, as the added underarm ventilation and side zips enhance breathability on the court.
How I wear it

Perfect for meetings, weekends and workouts, this contemporary top is such a staple in my wardrobe. As tennis season gets closer, I am still finding it too cold to wear the lightweight Backspin Tennis Dress alone. So adding the Baseline Tennis Sweat as an extra layer has been a lifesaver on the court.

The classic grey and white shades work over everything, so post-exercise I like to throw it on over a pair of printed leggings – my current favourites are the Urdhva Reversible Leggings. For a Sports Luxe look, I’ll layer it over the Danca Luxe Sweatpants or Zero Gravity Tights with my Acne trainers.
