From humble single-boutique origins in 1998, Sweaty Betty stayed true to its brand purpose and helped one woman at a time to embrace fitness as a way of living. By 2003, Harper's Bazaar celebrated Tamara's vision and success by awarding her the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year award. Going from strength to strength, Sweaty Betty continued to open new boutiques to meet growing demand for fashion-forward activewear. Opening its first Selfridges concession in 2006, Sweaty Betty cemented its place on the fashion map within its first decade of business. Sweaty Betty is a brand that thrives on the strength of the team. Countless awards for retail interiors, design team innovation and healthy employees demonstrate commitment to the mission.
