With 34 UK boutiques, including concessions in world famous department stores Harrods and Selfridges, UK, USA and Mobile website as well as two new stores currently opening in the US, Sweaty Betty is embarking on its next exciting growth phase!
Our Head of Retail is due to go on Maternity leave in February 2014 so we are looking for an equally incredible person to fill this position for up to 12 months. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is driven, ambitious and in love with the brand to join an exciting growing business at the forefront of what they do.  

Reporting to the Retail Director you will be responsible for leading the UK team of 3 Area Managers to deliver the company’s retail sales targets and objectives including new store openings.
Specific responsibilities will include:
§  Day-to-day responsibility for 7 flagship boutiques and the Customer Care team, to uphold world class retail standards, working alongside the office functions of merchandising, buying and visual merchandising
§  Develop and evolve the Sweaty Betty Customer Experience to the best on the high street and work with the Head of Direct to pioneer the best Omni -channel possibilities
§  Maintain and strengthen the positive relationships with the store teams and our concession partners in Selfridges and Harrods
§  Ensure the boutique working environments are fun, active & challenging
§  Ensure we are bringing out the best in all our staff whilst rewarding success and recognising excellence
§  Always being a role model for the team, demonstrating a stylish and active Sweaty Betty lifestyle
§  Oversee the delivery of original product training events and retail management courses to underpin the development and internal progression of all store staff
§  Attend trade meetings every Monday to report on sales
§  Sit on Operational Board with other Heads of in the business
§  Ad hoc duties that fit your skills and strengths

§  A minimum of 5 years retail leadership and management experience
§  Experience of new store openings (preferable)

Driven, ambitious with strong commercial instincts. You are a strategic thinker and love to build relationships at all levels both within and outside the business. You are comfortable working with numbers and have a tenacious attention to detail. You are a people person – approachable, tactful, and fun! Most importantly you are a natural ambassador for the brand, a role model and love to live an active lifestyle.
