Sweaty Betty's guide to Reigate

A picturesque market town located in in East Surrey, Reigate is a hub of health with a popular outdoor fitness scene and plenty of delicious food on offer. A popular commuter town, Sweaty Betty have set up on Bell Street near to the beautiful Priory Park to provide locals with their activewear fix. 'Reigate has such a thriving healthy community and we are so excited to become part of this' says Founder and Creative Director Tamara Hill-Norton. Here's our guide of where to sweat, eat and hangout in the area.

Reigate Pilates

A beautiful studio in central Reigate offering mat and reformer Pilates for all abilities. Sweaty Betty ambassador Shannon and her team offer a warm welcome at Reigate Pilates and a ab-burning workout.

Reigate Dance Studio 

Run by Sweaty Betty ambassador Lucy, Reigate Dance Studio offers dance and fitness classes for adults and children. Offering yoga, ballet, zumba, contemporary dance and more, this is the place to go for a seriously fun workout. Yoga Anada 

When locals are looking for an hour of relaxation, Nancy's yin yoga class at Yoga Anada more than hits the spot.

Take it outdoors

The beautiful scenery and parks around Reigate have made it a popular spot for outdoor workouts. From personal training with your tots (Pip Skinner and her Fit Mummy Club are a favourite with local Mum's), to Reigate Ladies Joggers running groups, Reigate Hill and Priory Park's beautiful landscapes offer endless fitness opportunities.

Offering the best coffee in town from local supplier 'The Fresh Coffee Company', Cullenders is the spot for a post-workout snack. The cakes are also worth a mention, Team SB is particularly partial to their custard tart, after a PT session on Reigate Hill it's well earnt right?

Inside Out Health

Reigate's centre for all things wellness, Inside Out Health offers healthy snacks, free from essentials and organic whole foods. Alongside this, the expert staff also provide nutritional therapy, evening workshops and informative talks.

Monty Bojangles 

In need of a treat? Head to Monty Bojangles for crumpets topped with melted chocolate truffles, one word, divine. 

The Giggling Squid

Spread across 4 floors, The Giggling Squid offers delicious Thai food in buzzy, crowded surroundings. A talking point in the town as a cave was found underneath the building, head here for plenty of Thai curry and wine.

Reigate Hill and Gatton Park

With unbeatable views and tranquil woodland, The National Trust's Reigate Hill and Gatton Park offer endless opportunities for walking through heathlands, flower-sprinkled grassland and the infamous Reigate Fort. Plus, there are lots of pubs and picnic spots on the way.

Everyman Cinema 

With comfortable chairs, pizzas on offer and a bar serving cocktails, locals head to the Everyman Cinema for a film with a difference. 

Reigate Tunnels

Known locally as the Reigate Caves, these old sand mines riddle the town centre and are a popular weekend spot in the summer for their famous tours.
