Choosing where to jet off to on a ski trip each season can be tricky with so many firmly established world class resorts and great value new destinations popping up all the time. However, there are a set of truly classics ski resorts that never go out of fashion. Here is our dream list…

St Moritz, Switzerland
St. Moritz is the world's original ski resort and is still one of the most glamorous places to go for an Alpine retreat. With numerous chic hotels and restaurants the resort attract royalty and celebrities alike. At 2000m there is good snow cover and an abundance of great off-piste areas.

Courchevel 1850, France
Located in the world’s largest ski area, Les Trois Vallées, Courchevel 1850 is the largest and most fashionable of four settlements. Littered with stylish chalets and Michelin-starred restaurants the resort is famed for its nightlife and attracts the jet-set crowd. Pistes are carefully maintained and there is terrain to suit all levels of skier.
Aspen, USA
The place to be if you want to ski alongside the rich and famous. This resort is famed for its steeps and its four mountains that are not linked and accommodates all levels thanks to excellently versatile terrain.

Zermatt, Switzerland
One of the most exclusive ski resorts in Switzerland, Zermatt is nestled in the valley at the foot of the Matterhorn and is remarkably peaceful thanks to its car free environment. Beautifully picturesque it boasts the world's second biggest lift-served vertical drop and receives huge snowfalls thanks to its altitude.

Klosters, Switzerland
The Royals are regular guests to the village of Klosters, a 2,844-metre descent from Weissfluhgifel. With the neighbouring resort of Davos just up the mountain there are different areas to ski every day. The resort has a charming traditional Alpine feel.
