Lauren Taus is a bicoastal life coach and yoga instructor who works to align her students not only in their bodies, but also in their minds. After years in corporate finance, Lauren transitioned into a wellness career nearly 7 years ago. 

Lauren regularly teaches yoga at some of New York's most elite studios including Soho House, Equinox, and Pure Yoga, alongside running global retreats and workshops. A former hedge fund executive, Lauren primarily teaches vinyasa yoga, though with a Masters degree in social work, she has also spent hours working as a therapist. She firmly believes in the mind-body connection, and in the ability for an improvement in one to benefit the other. When she's not teaching you'll find her planning her new business venture or exploring all that New York has to offer. 

Three burning questions

Describe your morning routine?
My morning is my favourite part of the day. I like to begin with a few minutes of quiet time, which I call meditation and prayer. I then make sure to eat a yummy breakfast with an Americano before I set out for a workout of some type.
Your failsafe workout and why?
I love asana, and I like to take yoga classes with teachers who offer a solid, sensible flow. These workouts, if you want to call them that, are about feeling good and alive. I like spin classes and HIIT workouts too if they have a great teacher and awesome music. 

Guilty Pleasure?
I believe in indulgence. I eat dessert and I drink wine. For me, it's all about moderation, and allowing myself the things that I love without feeling bad about it, this means I enjoy all the food that I eat.
