I wooooooon!!! I wont the British Airways competition which means I will be going to Canada to train! So excited. It feels particularly nice that I won because of the amount of votes from the public, that is a very nice feeling. Thank you to everyone who has voted. I just have to wait to hear from them for further details now!
It has been yet another very busy week. Amongst working hard with my rehab, I had my last day at work on Friday- which was also my 21st birthday. I was very sad to be leaving as I will miss working with the children (and the staff!!) a lot. I really enjoyed my time at the school and learnt a lot whilst I was there. However to get the most out of myself and my training, wiping my timetable and starting again is definitely the right choice! I can spend so much more time working on aspects of my training that I just wouldnt normally have time to do and I will not be rushing around everywhere- that is the most tiring part!! So I leave Wembdon St Georges with lots of happy memories and am very much looking forward to progressing in my sport.
I now have a busy few weeks. Tommorow I will go to BathUniversity for National Squad training and I return Thursday evening. I am also looking forward to- and feel extremely privileged to be able to- have a week's intensive physiotherapy at the British Olympic Association's rehabilitation centre at Bisham Abbey. This is really going to help and being around other top athletes from a wealth of different sports will be great too.
I also wanted to thank fellow blogger and pilates expert, Sarah. Sarah sent me a fantastic beginners pilates dvd to help me work my core using pilates. I have been practising this and it is very good! I havent done much pilates before but it really is a good work out if you really focus on all the areas- which does take some practice!
Anyway, I am off for a swim now- buzzing after all the excitement of today!
Hope you are all well.
