Diary of a workout wardrobe: Lydia Elise Millen discovers Zero Gravity
As one of Britain’s leading lifestyle bloggers, Lydia Elise Millen ranks fashion and fitness her two favourite topics. Naturally, she and Team SB have a lot in common. That’s why we asked her to work her styling magic with our signature bum-sculpting Zero Gravity leggings. As Sweaty Betty celebrates its fifth season of Zero Gravity leggings, released twice a year in new prints and now also in solid black, Lydia shows us how to wear them for workouts and beyond…
Day one: Yoga
Today I’m wearing my black Zero Gravity Run Tights, white Athlete Vest and Asteya Yoga Top, all from Sweaty Betty, for a class at White Space yoga studio. This is my favourite place to let go of the week’s stresses, and the right outfit can make all the difference. I love clothing that allows freedom of movement while still supporting me through every position as I stretch out my tired limbs. The Zero Gravity fabric is so lightweight and comfortable while also being supportive and sculpting, so these leggings are perfect for my weekly practice.
Day two: Home office
As I work from home a lot of the time, I like to switch between sitting on my bed, on the sofa or curled up in front of the fire. Feeling comfortable is essential to being productive, so I pair the classic black Zero Gravity Run Tights with my favourite chunky knit from H&M. Accessorise with your snuggliest slippers.
Day three: Studio to street
Sport Luxe is a trend that comes around season after season, which is fabulous if you spend a lot of your time in leggings like I do. It means you can pop out shopping, head to meetings and even brunch in your sportswear. It’s such a joy to find a fashionable pair of leggings I can wear from workout to work engagements. Here I’m wearing my black Zero Gravity Run Tights with one of Sweaty Betty’s cool oversized knitted jumpers, Isabel Marant trainers, a shearling coat and an Alexander Wang Rocco bag.
Day four: Meetings
Running in heels is also cardio you know! Today I’m wearing my Zero Gravity Leggings and a cosy long sleeved top (which is proving the perfect cover up for the transitional autumn weather!). To dress up the look, I’ve gone for Gianvito Rossi stilettos, a Celine clutch and statement sunglasses to carry me through a busy day of meetings.
