Yoga Pose of the Week (Week 7)
Each week, I like to introduce new poses into my classes. After all, it is variety which keeps us motivated to do exercise. This week I have been using a lot of poses which are great for strengthening the hips and lower back. Pigeon pose is excellent for this and is a great stretch to use regularly if you do a lot of running or walking. The best way to come into this pose is from downward facing dog. This will ensure you have the correct alignment and will give you a nice release on your hamstrings as well.
