Zumba: Ditch the Workout and Join the Party
I am officially on route to being hooked on Zumba!! Having done my 4th class now and still absolutely loving it, I think I have found my niche!
The hook line of “Ditch the Workout and Join the Party” could not be more perfect for Zumba and the class I attend in Waterloo.
From the moment you walk into the class the instructor makes you feel completely at ease and the atmosphere of the participants is so warm and friendly, you know straight away that you are in for a great time...and that’s when you forget you are exercising, and it is only at the end when you walk out sweating that you realise you have been exercising for the past hour. (That and also when you wake up the next day with a few new aches! Mine is currently in my right bum cheek....not sure what happened to the left?)
Zumba is a mix of many different styles meaning you get to have a variety of music...however Shakira is appearing to be a reoccurring artist in our class, but who else is better to aspire to be while you are dancing and swinging your hips around!
This style and class does not eliminate anyone from taking part, and the instructor Chloe is so inspirational to watch, and with her perfectly unique crazy explanations they fit hand in hand with the style of Zumba!
To anyone who is looking for something completely new and different then I really advise you to try Zumba...and I dare you not to come out smiling!!
There are classes appearing all over London so take a look on the internet to find your closest one- but the one I attend is at Waterloo Action Centre, every Wednesday from 6pm-7pm.
I will continue to keep everyone updated with my Zumba journey, and hopefully get a few photos to put up soon as well!
