Yoga Pose of the Week (Week 9)
I practice this pose everyday and always teach it in every class. It is great for toning the legs, improving the circulation, increasing the energy, purifying the blood and it benefits the thyroid gland and the nervous system. It is also said to help with migraines, constipation and indigestion. Don't practice if you are menstruating or pregnant, have high blood pressure, back or neck problems. If it ever feels uncomfortable slowly roll out of it, keeping the stomach strong to support the spine. My top tip is to practice the bridge pose or the fish pose afterwards.
