The story behind the 7 a day print

We've had goats, florals, palm trees and cactus', now we bring you the latest print to light up your wardrobe - the 7 a day. A new way to kale it (no apologies for the pun here), Founder and Creative Director Tamara shares the inspiration behind the print.

Our winter collection was inspired by a design trip we took to Copenhagen, where we spent hours in the food market Torvehallerne (yes, I can confirm that eating is a vital part of Sweaty Betty trips). With over 60 stalls serving everything from cinnamon buns, to coffee, gourmet chocolate and exotic spices, we were so inspired by the fresh and healthy produce that perfectly compliments the Scandinavian lifestyle.

On our return to London, our designer Steph decided to visit her local London food market, where she loves the array of fresh fruit and vegetables on offer. After buying an array of produce, she was inspired to photograph the vegetables herself at home, where she arranged them into a print. So that print you see on your Contour Leggings? It's been created from images of organic aubergine, kale, tomatoes, oranges, that were freshly grown in the UK.

I think this print is the perfect embodiment of our approach at Sweaty Betty. We are all about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on balance. Instead of giving you a piece of fruit with every purchase, we've added it onto your outfit, which is way more fun. I have my eye on the Obi All In One, which I'm going to style up with a plain tee and flat trainers for nineties style. This jumpsuit is so flattering, it has the perfect draped fit with a wide leg, meaning it's ideal for day or night.

Shop the Obi All In One and Contour Leggings, just remember don't be mean, wear your greens.
