I lunge therefore, I am!
OK Betties, since you are on this fab site it's pretty clear that you are interested in keeping fit and healthy in one way or another. Maybe you are a running machine, a yoga bunny, a power walker or just like to dabble in a bit of everything. Whatever your choice of movement, it should ultimately make you feel good!
A few years ago I was in awe of my yoga teacher who practised for 3 hours every morning - I was like wow, you're amazing! I thought if I could just to that, I would be a zen-like Queen too!!! But she pointed out that it doesn't matter what it is that you do, as long as you enjoy it and you do it for you. That could be walking, running, swimming, lifting weights, whatever. Today there is almost too much choice out there for ways to lose weight, tone up, or generally be healthier, but all of that is a drag if it doesn't give you something back in return. Sure lunging kills when you do it, but the post-training buzz you get on top of the thigh tone-age is all worth it!
I've never met anyone who says they don't feel better for exercising. I think it's particularly important for us gals to train as it just makes you feel so much better. In a world where it's popular for mags to point out every dimple on stick-thin celebrities, being in control of how you look gives you that extra confidence. Of course we get to workout in fab Sweaty Betty clothing to, how can a girl not feel good!!
Anyways, hope you're all doing a little something for yourselves, and if not have a think about it, I'm sure I've got some ideas up my sleeve along the way!!
