Get Fit 4 Free Week Two

posted on Thursday, 6th October 2011 | find under Tamara
Our GF4F campaign is well into its second week and has been hugely successful.
Gerry taught in Brighton this week: “I was so pleased to teach in the store this week, the participants really immersed themselves in the class and the hour flew by. I can only hope they enjoyed it as much as I did! Yoga means Union; between body, mind and spirit. There are many different styles of Yoga all-encompassing asanas (poses), breathing and meditation to varying degrees and people tend to find themselves drawn towards a particular style. I love Yoga as it gives me freedom, both in body and mind, and I can practice anywhere – all I need is my mat! My favourite time to practice is early in the morning; a perfect start to the day.”

Meanwhile, Arlette in the City tells us about taking the Vinyasa class there: “A lovely warm evening perfect for our hatha yoga evening - warm enough for us to stretch effectively and safely without the help of the usual Vinyasa warming repetitions. I think everyone was surprised by how much more difficult yoga is when you hold the postures for longer rather than effortlessly (well almost!!) transitioning from one to another - when the mind is so busy following instructions that it doesn't have time to complain! Well done everyone who attended - your focus and attention to detail were admirable. Three more weeks - I can't wait to hear which style you identify with most. Keep stretching, keep breathing and keep aiming to control your mind rather than letting it control you! Keep calm, keep happy...”
Well done to all those who have taken part already, if you haven’t then give your local store a call and book yourself in for the next exciting class!
