Where we workout: Method Movement

posted on Wednesday, 7th June 2017 | find under Fitness
What do you get when you cross a Kiwi personal trainer with a hot Brazilian yogi? South West London's hottest new studio, Method Movement, Tatler Gym Award winner and our current favourite place to workout.

What is it?

The brainchild of Joshua Clark, a former professional basketball player, Method Movement was formed after he noticed a gap in the fitness industry for a solution that actually delivers results, fast. Teaming up with wellness expert and ex-PR director Natalia Bojanic, he created a boutique studio on a mission to transform bodies and minds.

Whether you are looking to work up a sweat or find calm in savasana, Method has you covered. You'll find a series of fitness classes, alongside yoga and mindfulness in London's only al fresco yoga studio.

What's it like?

Beautiful, light and spacious, the studio is separated into three areas - a state of the art personal training studio, a bright studio and our favourite, an outdoor yoga space. Located among trees, 'the mindful garden' even has a retractable roof and heated panels so you can practice in all-weather.

Can we also mention how Instagram worthy this studio is? From the famous wings courtesy of @jaggadesign (you will have seen them on your feed) to Maori symbols painted on kettlebells, this is one place you will want to take a post-workout selfie.

What do they offer?

Designed to be 'more than just another fitness studio', Method's focus on results ensures they have created a diverse timetable. Focusing on transformations, these bespoke programmes combine fitness classes with meditation, yoga and nutrition advice.

With a range of internationally renowned trainers, the fitness classes include the Bondi and HIIT Method, which are designed to shred, shape and sculpt. Yes, we can confirm they're hard. Balancing out the muscle soreness, the studio has also enlisted some of London's famous yoga instructors to provide a serious stretch.

What should we try?

There is a reason Tatler recently named the studio as 'The Best for Bums' in their annual Gym Awards. Their signature Brazilian Method uses resistance bands and body-weight exercises to sculpt a pert posterior.

Why do we love it?

With class sizes relatively small, you get a personal experience like nowhere else. Each class starts with a proper warm up and stretch, let's just say you won't look at resistance bands in the same way again. Plus, the studio team are so friendly, taking the time to remember your name and training needs.

What are the advantages?

In the words of Josh, 'my aim is to bring real results and help people every step of the way to transform their lives'.

Where is it?

A 5 minute walk from Earl's Court tube station. Head for a class then to Over Under Coffee for brunch and a matcha latte.

Anything else?

Not in the mood for a workout? Try one of Natalia's 'Mental Massage' classes for the perfect escape from city life.
