5 reasons Sweaty Betty has Britain's healthiest employees

posted on Tuesday, 15th September 2015 | find under Fitness, Behind the Scenes

Working at Sweaty Betty is about more than just a job. It’s a lifestyle. Everyone at Sweaty Betty shares a passion for active living, and that passion is reflected in our recent award for Britain’s healthiest employees – a title we’ve proudly held for three years running. Here’s just five reasons we consistently come out on top.

Sweaty Betty Britain's healthiest employees

1. Lunchtime yoga classes

When Stylist magazine asked Sweaty Betty to be a partner for their Reclaim Your Lunchbreak campaign, we were thrilled to help promote the importance of time for you in the middle of the day. In fact, our mid-week lunchtime yoga classes with The Power Yoga Company instructor Catia Leite is our favourite way to disconnect from our desks and reconnect with our minds, bodies and each other. With a rotating schedule of Ashtanga and Yin Yoga, there’s something for everyone in the office.

2. Weekly run club

Mondays are the most important day to be active, setting a healthy trend for the week. That’s why Sweaty Betty’s Monday night run club is an office favourite, with ambassador Annie Foulds mixing it up every week with endurance runs, sprint intervals and bootcamp style conditioning. Rain or shine, #TeamSB loves to lace up our trainers and take up the tempo.

3. Inclusive Get Fit 4 Free campaigns

Regular Get Fit 4 Free events and twice annual global campaigns like the new Body By Simone workout are a great way to unite Sweaty Betty ambassadors, instructors, boutique staff, office staff, and of course our in-store class attendees and online workout subscribers. Get Fit 4 Free creates an international community of women with a passion for exercise and for sharing their workouts with like-minded people.

4. Flexible working for healthy hobbies

In the Sweaty Betty support office, staff members have the option to start work anytime between 8am and 10am. This policy attracts a number of in-house athletes, trainers and fitness enthusiasts, who enjoy the ability to pursue their healthy hobbies around a flexible working schedule.

5. Support for independent challenges

Whether it’s a marathon, an Olympic triathlon or a cycling sportif, Sweaty Betty supports and rewards staff members for their most ambitious wellness goals. A monthly team newsletter allows us to celebrate individual successes, as well as getting fresh inspiration to push personal boundaries.
