Describe the moment you knew you wanted to be a trainer...

What's your secret to staying fit and healthy?

What one achievement would you identify as your Personal Best?

The sweat connection...

Carla lives and breathes yoga and she only ever practises in Sweaty Betty. She was drawn to the brand through her travels to the UK and has been a loyal customer ever since. She embodies an active lifestyle and her passion for teaching is contagious within her community. She introduced Aerial Yoga to Connecticut, which has caught on as a unique and popular fitness routine for the locals.

I was in a class in Florida while on vacation and the teacher told a story about how yoga can transform even the hardest person into a kind and compassionate person. It was this story that made me want to become a trainer.

Raising an amazing child is definitely my personal best. It's one thing to have a child, and another to bring up an aware individual who understands the value of life and knows there's more to the day than video games.

My European parents instilled good nutrition habits in me from a young age. I always ask myself: How will I feel after I eat this? If the answer isn't positive, I don't eat it.

Describe the moment you knew you wanted to be a trainer...

I knew I wanted to teach Pilates the minute I got back on the reformer bed after not being on one in about 5 years. I knew I wanted to teach yoga after taking my first yoga class ever with Rodney Yee.

What's your secret to staying fit and healthy?

My secret to staying fit and healthy is self-discipline. Showing up to practice consistently and making as many healthy choices as I can each day helps me live out my ethos of 'everything in moderation'.

What one achievement would you identify as your Personal Best?

My personal best is always on my mat practising yoga. Through the art and science of yoga I have learned to turn fear into compassion, find strength through sadness and more importantly embrace the present moment.

The sweat connection...

Sweaty Betty first encountered Genevieve because she was a frequent customer in the boutique. She loves the brand and is an accomplished instructor in the area. Many of her private clients swear by her gentle yet informed classes.
