Yoga Pose of the Week (Week 18)
Moving plough pose
This pose is a great alternative to the traditional plough pose and a nice variation on the traditional shoulder stand. If you are used to shoulder stand but you find your hamstrings or neck are a little tight to bring your feet all the way towards the floor into full plough, try just lowering one leg. After three breaths lift it back up and try repeating the other side. This is a great pose to do after a long run as the movement will give the legs and lower back a really deep stretch. As always, listen to your body and stop if you feel any discomfort.
