Converging in central London for a night-time run, bloggers Emma Lax and Charlotte Thomas from lungesandlycra.co.uk, Zoe Meskell from londonandme.org and Sophie Levett from beprettyfit.com put Sweaty Betty’s innovative new black reflective fabric to the test. Below are their thoughts on the Urban Pace Jacket and the Nightscape Run Jacket - two luxury running jackets that appear black by day and reflective by night.

Charlotte (pictured below her co-blogger Emma) loves the Nightscape Run Jacket because…

I like the slimline fit and lightness of the jacket as I don't like to be too bundled up when I run. I'm also a fan of the colour. Unlike a lot of high-vis jackets, black coordinates with the rest of my kit and looks chic for daytime runs as well as keeping you safe at night.

Her favourite run route in all the world is…

Through the Tuileries Garden and along the Seine in Paris. I was there for a weekend with friends last year, and I woke up early one morning to find it was snowing. I decided to put on my trainers and see the sights of the city while everyone else was sleeping. It was magic!

The Reading Half Marathon this March.

Zoe loves the Urban Pace Jacket because…

I can wear it for both running and everyday use. I love how fashionable it is, and that the reflective panelling feels so soft and natural you’d never know it has reflective properties until the night falls. The high collar and chin guard are also really practical for keeping out the cold winds we’re currently contending with – my neck stayed warm all night long.

Her favourite run route in all the world is…

The New York Marathon. Running through all five boroughs of New York City with an incredible crowd encouraging me all the way around was an experience I'll never forget. Nothing beats crossing the finish line in Central Park!

The London Marathon. It’s perfect for winter training as I glow in the dark and feel safe running in the morning and at night.

Sophie love the Urban Pace Jacket because…

It’s feminine, comfortable and a little bit different. I found the Urban Pace Jacket really easy to run in and warm without being suffocating. It’s perfect for the winter!
Her favourite run route in all the world is…

Either along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon or the Southbank in London. Obviously I get to enjoy one more often than the other…
