The Sweaty Betty Hamptons Haunts

posted on Thursday, 15th August 2013 | find under Tamara, Nutrition
The Sweaty Betty team have been living in the Hamptons for two weeks and it already feels like home. We’ve found the best places for our daily (well, several times daily) fitness fix and of course the beauty of the beach! It’s no wonder that New Yorkers like holidays here in the Hamptons – if it was up to us, we’d be here all year.

The SoHo boutique is opening in a couple of weeks, but until we relocate back to the city, we’re loving our ocean swims just steps away from the Sweaty Betty house and our fix of amazing fresh juices and sunset dinners. It’s a beautiful lifestyle - living the dream and practising what we preach whilst spreading the word here in the Hamptons – the Roadshow team undoubtedly have the best job.
There are so many fantastic classes out here it’s hard to know where to start. Our first discovery when we arrived was Exhale Spa, home of the Core Fusion class. Based on the Lotte Burke method, it has had a devoted following for 20 years! Elisabeth Halfpapp co-created Core Fusion and learning from her has been amazing. The women of the Hamptons seem to be loving Sweaty Betty and the British style with our goodie bags going down a storm, especially after the 57-strong Core Fusion class.
For our pilates fix, we’re loving Norma Jean Pilates, where we have tea on the terrace after class as well as the occasional trunk show, and SLT, home of the megaformer pilates class.
We’ve also fallen for SUMMIT – Strength and Ultra Metabolic Movement Interval Training – at Exceed Physical Culture. We’ve held a few trunk shows with Exceed, as well as the wonderful Kamadeva Yoga– you can check out the trunk show schedule here.

For cardio, we spin with Flywheel (with Team Sweaty Betty flying the British Flag well with Georgie, our Greenwich, Connecticut manager finishing 5th woman, and CEO Simon and 2nd man in our first class) and get our heart rates up at Bari, our newest discovery and a welcome addition to our ever-growing list of excellent studios.
Perennial favourites are the wonderful Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee at Yoga Shanti, where a rejuvenating yoga practice recharges us for the fitness fix to come.

To stop by a trunk show or figure out where the Roadshow is this week, check out the schedule.
