The Highland Adventures of a Kingston Betty

Returning to Edinburgh (my last visit was a few years ago) I was reminded of the charm and elegance that makes this city so unique. From George Street the views of the Edinburgh Castle are mesmerising. We visited the luxury boutiques inviting them to the Scotsman Spa and Health club event next Tuesday and I was excited to discover Anthropologie launching their first ever store in Scotland! The excitement along the street was contagious. I met Noel the store Manager from Illinois like myself...a very small world. A quick stop at Wellington Cafe we made our way to the event of the day: the official launch party of Boddy Language.

I heard lovely things about this Personal Training studio, once I arrived and met the team for myself I was so excited to be there at the launch party. I learnt all about their method, style and the innovative equipment. Boddy language is the only studio in Edinburgh, or in fact north of Manchester, to have Water Workx resistance equipment. This uses water through a cylinder as a weight rather than the more commonly used noisy gym weights. A very natural and effective way to build up strength.

Meeting with the Boddy Language clients and hearing their success stories was inspirational. I enjoyed listening to all the yoga and workout adventures happening in Edinburgh. What a fantastic group of people and great way to end my first day with the Sweaty Betty Road Show team. Next on the list is perfecting my Scottish accent and sample a wee portion of haggis!
