Muswell Hill We Have Landed

posted on Friday, 25th November 2011 | find under Nutrition
The Sweaty Betty Road Show team kicked off week one of our latest tour in the quaint London suburb of Muswell Hill this week. With its beautiful green surroundings it’s a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The perfect place for a spot of yoga by candle light, the first of our free classes, led by instructor Victoria Akerstro. The experience was thoroughly serene and we learnt to create space in postures which could be extended into daily life. Ideal for helping finding a calm moment in a busy day.

In contrast our next few sessions were all about working up a serious sweat! First stop was Results Studio for a 30 minute personal training session with Browne Bailey. Don’t think we were slacking –the session was short but high intensity as every second counted. Our trainer, Browne, took us back to basics to achieve results in the most time efficient way. The perfect fitness solution for those with a jam packed diary.

30 minute killer workouts seemed to be a theme as we hit power plate studio, Movers and Shapers, for a half hour session. Our trainer, John Gibson, showed the class the power of the plate and made us realise it’s certainly not just for standing on – with the right combination of moves you can achieve a full body workout with time to spare.

In between classes we had chance to try out some local haunts including the beautiful furniture and lifestyle store Bones (our new favourite) and deli come cafe Feast on Fortis Green (delicious). We also caught up with friend of Sweaty Betty, Charlotte Murray, who will be hosting a view and buy evening at her exclusive hair salon next week. Finally there was time for tea and cake with Madaline Macgregor who runs the East Finchley division of Wild Training, providing bespoke training sessions for clients in the comfort of their own homes or as part of a group session at local parks.

It's been a great start to the Road Show in Muswell Hill and there is still so much more to come next week! So if you fancy getting empowered with Sweaty Betty in north London check out next week's schedule for all the details on how to book a place at one of our free classes - http://www.sweatybetty.com/uk-road-show-schedule-artlroadshow_schedule/
