Low on sleep but high on adrenaline!

This is it..we are in New York and in just over 24 hours the race will be well under way (or at least I hope so?!) I am not sure which time zone I am in but my stomach knows that something is up. The butterflies have moved in. We have been to register and collect our bibs this morning. The sight of thousands and thousands of other runners was quite intimidating but also very encouraging....a communal sense of purpose was in the air.

The best thing about all of this is the encouragement I have received from all my friends and especially those at work. This is my secret weapon (thanks Yolanda for that extra special blog...) and along with the jelly babies and the husband it's all I need now.

I am off to get my kit ready and pin that number on my bib. Then it's carbs and more carbs!!

In my next blog I hope to have some news (good, bad or downright ugly!)
