Get Fit 4 Free kicked off this week with Hatha yoga classes taking place across our boutiques.

Hatha yoga is a more gentle form of yogic practice and is also often described as a stress-reducing exercise. Hatha represents opposing energies: hot and cold (fire and water, following similar concept as yin-yang), male and female, positive and negative. Hatha yoga attempts to balance mind and body via physical postures or "asanas", purification practices, controlled breathing, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation. Asanas teach poise, balance and strength and are practiced to improve the body's physical health and clear the mind in preparation for meditation.

Bristol had 17 ladies for their class, which was taken by their in-store yoga expert, Charlotte. The attendees were especially impressed by the time Charlotte took to explain all the poses and from beginner through to expert; the class was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

In Cobham, Charli (Camilla Campbell Yoga Studio), took the class through all the fundamentals for those completely new to yoga. “We did amazing balances, great stretches and were introduced to sun salutations. A fantastic relaxing way to end the day.”

On the Kings Road, Rebecca led a fantastically motivating class. “Rebecca got the whole class of 13 into each and every pose. It was an amazing introduction to Hatha yoga and the ideas behind it”.
