Full of Vitality!

posted on Thursday, 31st March 2011 | find under Nutrition
I have just returned from a wonderful few days at The Vitality Show in Earls Court. My week started with a photo shoot with the talented photographer Ally Carmichael. The shoot was of myself and a two of the show organisers, doing some Face Yoga. I was very privileged to be asked do the shoot as it was the picture that opened the show as was used for the press release.

Then, after a few hours having some lunch and chilling out I prepared to go on stage and teach my Face Yoga class. Five minutes before we started I was approached by Fitness Expert and presented Caroline Sandry who was filming with Sky's Body in Balance TV. She grabbed a quick interview with me before I dashed on stage. It was fabulous to see so many people come along to join in with Face Yoga. The following three days got even busier. By Saturday there were over 100 people in the class!

On Sunday, before I left, I had a chance to have a wander around the show. I bought a Yantra Mat, which is a mat full of little plastic spikes which work on acupressure points on your back. These mates are great for relieving aches and pains, relaxation and you can even do some supine Yoga poses on them. I was also given some samples of Vita Coco and Cherry Active. These are two drinks I have been reading up on for a while and it was great to speak to the experts about the products. Vita Coco is a fat free, sugar free sports drink. It is the water straight from the young coconuts before they turn brown and hairy and the water becomes milky and high in fat! The drink is highly recommended to replace lost electrolytes and minerals after exercise and can hydrate you even better than water. Plus it is very yummy (high recommend is acai and pomegranate flavour).

Cherry Active is also a natural, sugar free drink that can help exercise performance. It has anti-ageing benefits, can boost the immune system and is full of antioxidants (which help the body get rid of free radicals from toxins, pollution etc). I mix mine with water in the Cherry Active sports bottle and drink daily for a tasty, healthy pick-me-up.

So although I finished the 4 days at the Vitality Show a little tired, after a couple of days reflecting on the wonderful people I met, the fantastic new products I discovered and the wonderful feedback from the event, I am now definitely full of Vitality!
