Diary of a workout wardrobe: Fashion Mumblr's Josie Fear

Josie Fear is a fashion and lifestyle blogger who muses on everything from the catwalk to cupcakes on her blog Fashion Mumblr. Here she gives us a sneak peak into the holiday workout wardrobe she wore on recent long-weekend to Seville.

Determined to keep on working at her fitness while away on holiday, every morning Josie set about working out for an hour before the sun got too hot. “It’s a great way to start the day and to burn off the tapas from the night before,” says London-based Josie.

Day One
Workout: HIIT

The gorgeous cobbled streets of Carmona provide the perfect setting for some high-intensity sweating to kickstart the day. I go for layers - a colourful sports bra under a grey vest. It won't be long before the sun rises and I'm dying to cool off.  A warm-up jog through the shady side streets is followed by some short, sharp, uphill sprints. After 30 minutes the endorphins are pumping and I feel great. What’s more, everyone else is still asleep…

Day Two
Workout: Low intensity, fat burning jog

The sun is out and despite my early start its already warm, so I choose cropped leggings and a coral tank top which shows off my tan rather nicely (if I do say so myself). Today’s workout is a slow, fasted, fat-burning jog up to the highest point in the village. I get in the zone with my gym playlist, which includes Lean On by Major Lazer, Stronger by Clean Bandit and Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne.

Day Three
Workout: Yoga stretches

Packing for a long weekend away means that space in my carry-on is limited, so I reverse my leggings which reveals this gorgeous blue and coral pattern. I'd usually wear something with a looser fit for yoga or pilates, but these work perfectly for my stretches. My coral vest with has hidden support, so the look is complete without the need for a sports bra, which means less washing. Clever…

Day Four
Workout: Leg toner




Josie wears the Free Dive Swimsuit

Mid-morning and the sun is hotting up, so I strip off into my swimming costume and start a sequence of squats, lunges and tricep dips in the shallow depths of the pool – using the water for resistance I’m keeping cool, toning up and working on my tan all in one!
